Green Thumb Not Required

There are only experiments in gardening, never mistakes.

No green thumb? No problem! The members of QSGC have a passion for gardening, floral design, nature AND teaching! The only thing we might love more than our plants, is sharing our knowledge with others.

Established in 1950, Quantico Spouses’ Garden Club (QSGC) is the oldest club aboard MCB Quantico. We are open to active and retired military spouses of all ranks and branches of service, as well as civilians with base access. Our mission is to promote an interest in gardening and floral design, to cooperate in the protection of our natural resources, to stimulate the knowledge and the artistic use of flora, to encourage base beautification and spouse fellowship.

Our club year begins in August with our Welcome Aboard and then September through May we hold monthly club meetings, tours, and special events. The best way to get involved in our club is through service. We are always seeking committee and board members to help grow our club and help it bloom its best. No experience in gardening or floral design is necessary! Just a heart for service and all things green and beautiful.

Save the date for our September meeting with Master Gardener, Ann Gorrell as she teaches us all we need to know about growing, maintaining and enjoying herb gardens. We will meet in the classroom annex of the base chapel, 10 am to 12 pm on Sept 27. Refreshments will be available.
