“It was such a pleasure to sink one’s hands into the warm earth, to feel at one’s fingertips the possibilities of the new season.”
Kate Morton from The Forgotten Garden
ABOUT US
Established in 1950, The Quantico Spouses’ Garden Club (QSGC) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit and the oldest club aboard MCB Quantico. Through the years we have enjoyed a longstanding relationship with active duty and retired military spouses of all ranks and branches of service. Our mission is to promote an interest in gardening and floral design, to cooperate in the protection of our natural resources, to stimulate the knowledge and the artistic use of flora, and to encourage base beautification. Most of all we seek to develop rich friendships among military spouses and fellow garden lovers. We achieve our mission through education and events, service projects, and philanthropy.
You DO NOT need a green thumb to join our club, just an appreciation of our natural world. Most of our membership comprises active duty and retired military spouses but civilians with access to MCB Quantico are also welcome to join.
Quantico Spouses’ Garden Club membership dues include membership in District II of the National Capital Area Garden Clubs Inc. and National Garden Clubs Inc. QSGC is not a federal entity. We are not part of the DOD or any of its components and we do not have governmental status.
